Good morning,
It's been a while since I've Flocknoted the parish. I hope you are all doing well. You can be relieved that this message has nothing to do with the hair (or lack there of) on my face :)
We are in need of someone to commit to doing the 8pm adoration hour every Tuesday. If that hour is good for you, and you could use the blessings of spending some time with Christ in the Blessed Sacrament, please let me know.
And just a general plug for adoration...for those who can't commit to a whole hour, try to find some time (even five or ten minutes) to come by the church on Tuesdays while the Blessed Sacrament is exposed. In the midst of our crazy and very busy schedules, wouldn't it be nice to take a short break and refocus our eyes on the prize...on what is truly important? I promise you won't regret it if you'll give it a try.
Speaking of regret...don't leave your car in the church parking lots overnight this Friday night/Saturday morning (or for any of our home football games)...they might get towed.
There are some (no parishioners of course) who party at the nearby bars and restaurants and leave their cars in our lots, which doesn't work well with our Game Day Parking fundraiser (benefitting our college and high school youth groups).
We had to tow some for the first home game, which is not something we enjoy doing. Hopefully word has spread about that among the late night partiers, along with the warning signs we put on windshields and throughout the parking lots, so that we won't need to tow anyone else.
Thank you to all who regularly park here for the games, supporting our youth groups. Your $20 goes a long way in what we are able to provide for our college and youth groups.
With kickoff being 11am, we'll begin parking this Saturday at 8am. I hope to see you here...after 8am of course :)
Have a great week,
jeff
