This is a cold day that the Lord has made! I trust you are having a blessed day. A few notes as we approach the weekend:
- The reason I send a text out ahead of these emails is that I have found a number of those in the congregation do not regularly look at their email, but they do read their texts! And the texting on Flocknotes is very limited in number of words/characters.
- We made it back safely from Chicago after three grueling days of work getting our house ready to sell. It’s not quite ready yet, but we are getting close! Tom Wilder came with me, and did amazing things. Eileen had a long list of projects. We completed them all, then Tom did a few more big projects as well. Thanks! Keep praying for Eileen as she finishes up cleaning and organizing so that we can put it on the market.
- A big shout out to Don and Connie and Adam and Caleb and Mike for helping unload my stuff on Thursday. And special mention to Jamil and Stephanie who offered to help in the afternoon; we got it all done in the morning, so they get spiritual rewards for willingness!
- Thursday morning (before unloading) I met with a regional committee, and my ordination with the Missionary Church has been renewed! I’m officially Rev. John Moser again; but don’t you dare call me that! I’m still just Pastor John, or John. Either is fine.
- This week, we will be looking at Matthew 6.11: “Give us today our daily bread.” Six simply words, but they are loaded! Jesus said that he was the Bread of Life after feeding the 5,000 with five loaves and two fish (notice he didn't say he was a fish!). I’m intrigued with his words in John 6.25-59. My message isn’t complete yet, but you may want to read John 6 in preparation.
- Have a wonderful end of week! Keep warm! We’ll see you Sunday!
