October is RESPECT LIFE MONTH. What exactly does 'respect life' mean to you? As Catholics, it means to protect ALL human life from conception to natural death. This includes: the unborn child, the 5 year old held in an immigrant detention center, the teenager that couch-surfs because they have nowhere to live, the undocumented family separated from each other, the man living in his car, and the elderly women in a nursing home with not a single visitor in months, among others. The need can be daunting, but the solution is within reach, if only we work together.
For the month of October, as a parish, we will be doing a couple things regarding Respect Life:
- Providing Education Opportunities and info (Thanks, Anne Pirmann!)
- Supporting the Refugee Project
