Next week is Homecoming week! We have dress-up days planned for the week.
Monday: Dress like a farmer
Tuesday: Dress in camouflage
Wednesday: Remains a pride day. We have mass with the Bishop
Thursday: Wear red, white and blue
Friday: Anything demon, black or orange
Reminders: We have an early out on Oct. 8 for Homecoming so students can attend parade and another early out on Oct. 15 for PD for teachers.
Reading: We worked on long i...i, ie, igh, plurals s and es, cause and effect of stories, prefix mis- and read a nonfiction story about a professional baseball player, Roberto Clemente.
Math: This chapter focuses on data, how to read it and how to apply it. We have worked on picture graphs and bar graphs and we are at our mid-chapter checkpoint already! We will take our chapter 2 test next Thursday.
Science: Let the fun begin! Becky brought us a box Wednesday that consisted of a lot of scratching in it! CRAYFISH! The kids are excited to get to know these creatures starting next week!
SS: Research. The students are working on researching on the computer with a partner a Native American region. They are looking at what their homes looked like, animals found there, lifestyles...they will present their posters of information to the class next week.
