The Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) is looking for 3 new members who if elected will take their seats on the Council at its November meeting. Nominations may be submitted for yourself or someone else (with their okay) now through October 10th, 2021.
The general function of the PPC is to advise the Pastor in pastoral matters including:
- developing a pastoral plan,
- developing a pastoral plan,
- recommending policies, procedures, and programs to assist in the implementation of the mission statement and the parish pastoral plan,
- reviewing and evaluating the effectiveness of existing programs, and
- serving as a connection to other parish ministries.

What exactly does 'respect life' mean to you? As Catholics, it means to protect ALL human life from conception to natural death.
For the month of October, as a parish, we will be doing a couple things regarding Respect Life:
- Providing Education Opportunities and info (Thanks, Anne Pirmann!)
- Supporting the Refugee Project
REFUGEE PROJECT
A note from one of the Sisters leading the initiative here in Philadelphia, Sr Eileen McNally: "We, the Sisters of St. Joseph, have committed to providing transitional housing for refugees and asylum seekers." Dozens of men, women, and children are being served by the Sisters. "We are in the process of opening St. Martin of Tours convent on the Oxford circle area. This is a 32 bedroom house that will be used for women and women with children." (read more on holycrossphl.org website)

of Life. Here are a few:

as an alternative to abortion.
