Celebrating Forty-One Years in the Diocese of Stockton
Every year the Sacro Costato Missionary Sisters celebrate their congregational feast day on September 15, in honor of Our Lady of Sorrows. This year the students of St. Luke’s School honored the Sisters at the school Mass on the feast day.
The Sisters came to the diocese 41 years ago originally with the intention of teaching at St. Luke’s School. They have been an inspiration and have brought great joy to the school, the Catechetical program and St. Luke’s Parish. The Sisters' generous service has expanded to St. Luke’s, St. Michael’s and the Diocesan Pastoral Center.
Thank you to the Sisters for their presence among us!

Marriage & Family Life:
How can parents successfully raise their children to be faithful Catholic Adults?
Peyton Institute for Domestic Church Life has commissioned CARA (Center for Applied Research in The Apostolate) to conduct a study to learn about Catholic families in the U.S. who have successfully raised children to be faithful Catholic adults.
The research involves interviews with parents and separate interviews with their adult children. All participants in these groups will receive an Amazon gift card as a "thank you" for their time.

Promoting awareness of the dignity of the human person
Every October the Catholic Church in the United States celebrates Respect Life Month, and the first Sunday of October is observed as Respect Life Sunday!
October 2nd & 3rd there is a second collection that funds the Family & Respect Life ministry which provides parish support and resources throughout the entire diocese promoting the dignity of life and the building of the domestic church.
