If the devil wrote a letter, it could sound very much like this:
All churches are not created equal. Some worship me already, and they are no threat to my work. Some are caught up in religious ceremonies and don’t even mention the name of Jesus. I’m not worried about them. Some churches have had their big day already. But those churches refused to change with the culture and the times and out went the young people. It didn’t take long before the small group of attendees were old folks. I sure don’t have to worry about them getting out and reaching the lost in numbers.
It’s so funny, in some areas there’s a church on every corner. And the competition is fun to watch! I just sit back and watch the sheep switch pens and the money change hands. They don’t even know when I show up or see my schemes.
And then there’s the churches that basically worship the pastor. That one is easy. Get to him and you’ve got them all.
I’ve found that there are still many churches that are off limits. They are grounded and rooted on truth. Hopefully man will mess them up in time. Maybe even my soldiers in the political world will help me get to them.
And then there’s this Full Throttle Biker Church. I haven’t been able to get too close. There’s something unique and different here. And I don’t think it’s the preacher. The people are a little more real and seem to be like a family. They pray A LOT! Wow, they sure don’t mind calling on Jesus!
However, I WONDER! I wonder if they are getting comfortable? Maybe even lazy? I noticed lately that many of them have lost their zeal and don’t care if they make it to church or not. I think my plan is starting to work when I tell them that they are just one person, and won’t be missed. HAHAHA Its great when I get 30 or 40 people to buy into that one on the same Sunday. And wow, do I love rainy days!?!? I’ve got some of them thinking that they can’t attend unless they own a motorcycle or can’t go if they can’t ride.
It’s a really tight group at this biker church! But I wonder if I started some tiffs between families if that would have an affect? What if I could get in and agitate the Leadership Team? Or possibly disrupt the worship by starting drama in the worship team? I just wonder!
I wonder if maybe I should stick to my plan that’s worked on thousands of other churches? Tearing down the families and individuals at home! If I can mess up marriages, cause chaos with the kids, hurt people financially, and make them loose their jobs, history has proven that many times even the best Christians turn away from the church. Even I don’t understand that one! But hey, whatever works.
As long as they never suspect it’s me, I’ll have more time and more room to work. If this biker church does like some churches and starts calling on YOU KNOW WHO to forgive them, heal their nation, and joins together in unity I’ll have no choice but to move on. I guess time will tell.
(Matthew 4:1-11)
After fasting 40 days and 40 nights Satan tempted God to use His power and make bread out of rocks. Jesus responded, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.
Trust in God’s Word
Rely on Him
Don’t let pride ruin your hearts good work
Then Satan had the audacity to take Jesus to the highest point of the city and use God’s own words (written in Psalms hundreds of years prior) to get Jesus to jump. Jesus could have easily commanded a hundred angels to catch him on the way down and land without making a sound. Jesus replied, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’
Stay faithful and committed
Always keep your ego in check. If you’re going to show off a gift that God gives you make sure He gets the credit and the glory. Not you!
Be careful not to scheme or try to manipulate God. It will never turn out good.
Again, Satan shows just how arrogant and deceitful he is when he takes Jesus to the top of a mountain and tells Jesus that if He’ll just bow down and worship him, he will give Him all the Kingdoms of the world. First of all, Satan was given dominion as ruler of earths air for a reason. Ultimately to bring Glory to God when all is said and done, the war is over, and God takes back everything that is His anyways.
But Jesus spoke with what little bit of strength He had left and replied, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.”
Work every day, hour, minute, and second to stay away from Satans schemes!
Put on the full armor of God. (Ephesians 6:10-18)
Be careful that Satan doesn’t give you something that you will worship and serve more than God.
Satan knows our weaknesses and our desires. He loves it when he can give you a new bike, car, truck, 4-wheeler, boat, house, etc…that will take your time that you could have used to worship and serve God.
There is without a doubt a heavy presence of evil in the air right now. It’s heavy! And most Christians are feeling it.
If your walk with God has been shallow in the past, now is the time for all us sheep to keep a watch out for the wolves. Be careful to be more ears than mouth. Pray earnestly and without ceasing. Stay TOGETHER as often as you can with other sheep. Don’t even think of wondering off right now. You were brought to this church family with a reason and a purpose.
And just like that last verse about putting on the armor in Ephesians 6 says, (18)“And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.
Lift your brother and sister up, and hold them up!
Bless each of you! I am always praying for you and I thank God for this beautiful church body that I get to be a part of!
In His Grip,
Preacherman
