Thanksgiving Day Masses
Masses on Thanksgiving Day, November 23, will be at 8:30 AM at Emmaus and at 9:30 AM at Queen of Angels Chapel. As in years past, we will be blessing bread at the Thanksgiving Masses. We will provide loaves that you may take home to share with your family and guests at your Thanksgiving meal. Or, if you like, you may bring your own loaves to be blessed.
Office Closed for Thanksgiving
The parish office will be closed on Thursday and Friday, November 23 & 24 for Thanksgiving. In case of an emergency please call the priests’ residence at 512-261-3209.
Copies of Fr. Rito’s homilies available before Mass
The accents of international priests can be a challenge. When I have been on vacation, I have sat through Masses with international priests as celebrants and not understood a word. I know how frustrating that can be. Fr. Rito is working hard on his English, but some have indicated to me that they are having difficulty understanding him. For that reason I have asked him to make copies of his homilies available prior to his Masses. You can pick up a copy prior to Mass and follow along with that when he delivers his homilies. Please be sure to thank him for doing this. When I spoke to him about this issue he was a bit discouraged because he has really been working hard on his English. This weekend his English Mass is the 5:00 PM Sunday Mass.
