Recently, I had dinner at a parishioner's house and they invited me to stay for family movie night. We watched the movie
Pray about Fr. Patrick Peyton. He is the priest that popularized the phrase, "the family that prays together stays together." The prayer that Fr. Peyton encouraged most fervently was the family Rosary. If the Rosary is not part of your family spiritual exercise, the film might inspire you to give it another try. Tomorrow is a great day to rediscover the Rosary. This month of the Holy Rosary is a great time to rediscover the Rosary.
If you need an assist, please tag me in. Invite me over to your house, so that we can pray a Rosary together, especially if you're still working on it after Ida. Or let me know when you're coming over here to the rectory office, and we can pray a Rosary in our parish library. The original statue of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary from our parish church in Taft was removed from the Church Community Center and will now greet you as you walk in, as you see in the photo above. With such a wonderful Patroness and a powerful weapon in the Holy Rosary, we are assured of Victory in the battles of life. May God richly bless you and your families.
In Christ,
