Dear Epiphany Parishioners,
This coming weekend, our parish will relaunch our capital campaign, entitled: Celebrating our Faith as Children of God. As in all praiseworthy endeavors, we want to complete what we started in the Lord when we first inaugurated our capital campaign before the global pandemic prompted us to place our parish ministries on pause. We have learned a lot about ourselves and our relationship with the Lord these past eighteen months, having relied on God to protect us, to heal us, and, in many instances, to comfort us in our time of loss. And as we return to many of our Church ministries in fidelity and gratitude to the Lord, we also wanted to complete the capital campaign that all the parishes of the Archdiocese have embarked on.
With this Kickoff Weekend (October 9-10), we will begin to refamiliarize ourselves with the goals and purpose of the capital campaign. We ask that every family spend some time to truly prayerfully discern a pledge to this important campaign. And to help with this decision, in the coming weeks, we will have representatives from our community to speak at each Mass, special campaign information will be sent and communicated to parish and school families, and many will hear from parishioner volunteers who will be checking in to see if you have any questions. This will give everyone an opportunity to learn more about all the many ministerial areas that your generosity to the campaign will touch.
Each family is invited to participate in a significant way. The campaign goal for our parish is $6 million, which will support these broad areas of ministry:
- Parish Improvements -- $400,000
- Epiphany School Initiative -- $4,000,000
- Archdiocesan IGNITE Campaign -- $1,600,000
There are a couple of important points to keep in mind. First, the pledge you will be making is a four-year pledge, the redemption period of which ends in December of 2025. Secondly, we have already received in pledges $2.8 million toward our $6 million goal. This milestone has been reached with just 236 generous Epiphany families so far. We are so grateful to them for laying the foundation of this successful endeavor. With every family open to making a campaign pledge, we will be able to reach our campaign goal.
During these pandemic months, I worked on updating the capital campaign movie below, with the help of some familiar faces featured in the video. I hope that while watching it, you will find the many video vignettes of Epiphany ministries as inspiring as I did. The 9-minute campaign movie is a way for all of us to reflect on God’s presence in our lives and the meaning of the gift of our salvation through our faith. Also, here is a link to our parish’s
capital campaign webpage to learn more about how we will achieve our goals:

I believe that on this, the 40th anniversary of our parish’s founding, and as we persevere during this recovery stage of the world pandemic, this is a fitting time to complete what we started in the Lord. For having faced these world-changing challenges, our faith has been strengthened by how clearly we now know that we need God more in our lives than we may have ever once thought.
Devotedly yours in Christ,
Rev. Tom Lam
