Hello everyone! Happy Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary! I hope that you get to pray the rosary today and if it is not a normal practice, that you will pray the rosary every day! Our Lady is indeed powerful. Just watch what she does in your life when you pray the rosary every day, even if it is more peace, clarity, or how she resolves things in your personal life.
I enjoyed blessing the animals on the feast of St. Francis of Assisi. Among the various animals I enjoyed blessing were a cow, a sheep, a rabbit, a chicken, and a snail! Unfortunately, I think I accidentally blessed a mosquito. Why didn’t Noah put them next to the bats on the ark?
Piano at OLL
You will noticed at OLL that the piano has been moved up to the choir loft. Hopefully that will make a good space for handicapped seating and allow for the musicians to be heard better from the choir loft.
ICC Festival update
We did pretty well in our profit from the parish festival. We netted over $12,600 this year which is about normal. That was with less hours and less activities. Thanks again to all who helped with the festival.
Increased Offertory Program
Our Increased Offertory Program with the theme “Deepening Our Love For God and Neighbor” has begun. Thanks to all who have filled out their commitment card at ICC. This effort is important as we continue to change lives in our communities through our mission and ministries. If you have yet to fill out a Commitment Card, I encourage you to spend time in prayer and discussion with your family, reflecting on the work we do.
This weekend, we will celebrate Commitment Weekend at OLL, where we will ask each parish family to turn in commitment cards for the offertory for the next year. You should be receiving commitment cards in the mail this week.
If you cannot turn in the Commitment Cards at Mass, you may mail them to the office or fill it out on our websites under Online Giving. Thank you for making a commitment to the offertory!
Food for PSR at OLL
The PSR ‘Whole Family Community Session’ on October 31 at Noon will include an All Saints' Day Party! All are invited! If you can donate food for the meal, please sign up in the narthex or contact Ann Johnson by email at
acjohnson@alumni.nd.edu.
Real Presence, Real Future Parish Consultation Sessions
In October, parishioners will have the ability to see proposed draft models of the future of our parishes. These are proposals only, given to us by the consulting firm, CLI. This is your opportunity, as the parishioner, to give feedback to these proposed models. The Parish Consultation Sessions will be online, so you would need a computer and internet connection and preferably a microphone and camera, though you may be able to give feedback by typing. CLI will be showing us data and models, so it is recommended to join the meeting via computer rather than by phone.
Please plan to participate and invite others to do the same. You only need to attend one session to give your feedback.
The sessions for Our Lady of Lourdes are scheduled for October 11th and October 13th from 6:30pm – 8:30pm.
The sessions for Immaculate Conception are scheduled for October 18th and October 20th from 6:30pm – 8:30pm.
Registration is required by going to
www.realpresencerealfuture.org , then going to Parish Consultation Sessions, then click to sign up. Even if you are not able to participate, register anyway. All registrants will receive a link to the recording via email after the session.
We will have the sessions available on the tv at each respective parish halls on the evenings in which that particular parish is having their consultation session, for those who do not have access to the internet. I ask that those who can watch from home to please do so to minimize the crowding in the parish halls.

Baby Bottle Boomerang for Heartbeat of Hardin County
During the month of October, ICC will be participating in Heartbeat’s Baby Bottle Boomerang. The bottles will be in the back of church. You are asked to put extra change in the bottle and return it to church at the end of the month. All monies will go to Heartbeat of Hardin County to help with the cost of Heartbeat and their programs.
Rosary before Masses at OLL
Thanks to Deacon Mike who has taken the initiative to begin the rosary prayer before the weekend Masses at OLL, inspired by those doing so at ICC. Deacon Mike has set out a sign-up sheet in church for a leader to lead the rosary before each weekend Mass in October.
Attached are the bulletins and Fr. Ferguson’s cat column.
Our Lady of Lourdes, pray for us!
Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception, pray for us!
God bless!
