WEALTH OR BLESSINGS!
Having been a travel agent for 27 years, I realized earlier on in my career that I have no other choice but to “hobnob” with the wealthy as they were the only ones who can afford to go on my group tours.
Through all those years, I had a pretty good glimpse of what “the 10%” (read: the wealthy class in the Philippines) are like especially when you go on long tours and you are on the service side.
In my book of memories, I noticed a big difference between those who think of what they have as WEALTH and those who believe that what they have are BLESSINGS. Honestly, I prefer the attitudes of the latter.
Those who believe they have WEALTH often forget where it comes from. They expect to be served without question and all their “whims” catered to simply because they think they have paid for it. They demand way beyond the realms of reality as they have been accustomed to getting whatever it is that they desire. In the end, they find difficulty in being grateful as they have always thought that this was what they deserved.
Those who believe they have BLESSINGS never forgot the source of what they enjoy. Likewise, they remembered their roots, the struggle they had to undergo until they started to enjoy the “fruits of their labor”.
They remain understanding, kind, and appreciative.

By looking realistically at the “total picture”, they end up having a more enjoyable life.
Why? Because they celebrate what they have; on the other hand, the others live in misery, constantly dwelling on what they don’t.
So, what do you have? Wealth or Blessings!

PRAY THE ROSARY WITH THE ENTIRE FAMILY!
One of the ways we keep our families together is when prayer becomes the center of our activities. The family rosary has always been a focal point in a devout Catholic family. Sadly, with all the activities of our 21st-century world, it has become a more personal devotion rather than a family one. To pray an entire rosary takes about 15 minutes. Can your family devote such a small amount of time to pray together?

SECOND COLLECTION
The second collection today will be for our Adopt-A-Student campaign. This collection provides financial assistance to families that are in need at Saints Peter & Paul School. Thank you for your generous support.
ALL SOULS DAY– NOVEMBER 2
Novena & Masses
We will begin our annual All Souls Novena (a series of 9 consecutive Masses) beginning with the 7:00 a.m. Mass on Tuesday, November 2nd, continuing through November 10th.
You may list the names of your deceased loved ones in the Novena by using the Novena envelopes (available in the mailed packets or in the pews) and also to include your donation if you wish.
Please turn in your envelopes to the parish office by Friday, October 29th.
Knights of Columbus Rummage Sale

The Knights will be having their annual rummage sale Sunday, October 31st, from 6 a.m.— 2:30 p.m. in Gramer Hall.
All proceeds support our Knights' charitable activities here in the Parish and School.
Donated items will be gladly collected after all WEEKEND MASSES in the convent garage in the Church parking lot.

Mark your Calendars for the Arizona Rosary Celebration.
Plan to attend the annual Arizona Rosary Celebration on Saturday, October 16, 2021, 10:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at Saint Augustine Cathedral, 192 South Stone Avenue, Tucson, AZ 85701.
The Most Reverend Edward Weisenburger, Bishop of Tucson, will preside.
Pray the Holy Rosary before the Blessed Sacrament, participate in a Blessing Procession, enjoy music, and listen to the words of keynote speaker Reverend Wilfred “Willy” Raymond, C.S.C., president of Holy Cross Family Ministries.
Honor Mary under her title, Our Lady of Sorrows.
All Catholic schools, parishes, organizations, and groups are invited to participate. Pray for the success of the Arizona Rosary Celebration.
