Sacred Heart Annual Noodle-Making Fundraiser
Calling all noodle-makers! Please join us on October 11th at 8am EDT for our annual noodle-making event at the Fulcher Center! From novice noodle-makers to experts, all experience levels are welcome! Can’t make it at 8am? Feel free to come throughout the day to help.

AMISH Quilt Raffle “Dahlia Log Cabin”
St. Augustine Christian Women are once again offering you a chance to win Amish hand quilted queen size Quilt to be raffled in November. Last year, we netted a little over $1,500 to help with church expenses. The next few Sundays you can pick up QUILT raffle tickets from the pew at the parking lot entrance after each mass as well as available for pick up at Sts. Peter and Paul Church.
NCYC Support Fundraisers - Support our Highschool Youth
Sacred Heart: Pork Burgers are for sale $10 for a 2lb package (8 burgers) The M&M Fundraiser will kick off on October 17th. Please pick up a sweet treat by the church entrance. Then, return the M&M tube in the church collection with your donation inside. Any size donation is appreciated! Thank you for your continued support of our youth! St. Augustine: Waukaru Farms, the Jordan Family, has generously donated a Quarter Beef (processing included, total valued at $900) for our youth to raffle! Each raffle ticket sells for $10. Youth will be available after Mass on Saturdays and Sundays at St. Augustine through November 7th. Youth will also have a spot at the Bazaar to sell tickets. The winning raffle ticket will be drawn at the St. Augustine Bazaar. Tickets can also be purchased by contacting Kris Dobson at (219) 866-5351 extension #5.

Year of St. Joseph
On December 8th, Pope Francis inaugurated a year dedicated to St. Joseph to commemorate the 150th anniversary of St. Joseph's dedication as Universal Patron of the Catholic Church.
To mark this occasion, Pope Franics issed an Apostolic Letter on St. Joseph, which I highly encourage everyone to read and to use in your increased devotion to St. Jospeh.
We will begin to plan public devotions to St. Jospeh this year.

Also, the Apostolic Penitentiary announced a special Plenary Indulgence for the Year of St. Joseph. The plenary indulgence will be granted under the usual conditions (sacramental confession, Eucharistic Communion, detachment from sin, and prayer for the Pope’s intentions) to those who participate in the Year of St Joseph in any of the following ways: (Dec 8 2020 - Dec 8 2021)
- Meditate for at least 30 minutes on the Lord’s Prayer or take part in a Spiritual Retreat with meditation on St. Joseph
- Perform a spiritual or corporal act of mercy following St. Joseph’s example
- For families or engaged couples who recite the Holy Rosary together
- Entrust your daily work to St. Joseph or ask St. Joseph’s intercession for the unemployed to find dignifying work
- Recite the Litany of St. Joseph or any other Prayer to St. Joseph for the persecuted Church and relief of all Christians suffering from persecution
