* The Divine Mercy Chaplet is prayed silently before the Blessed Sacrament Tuesday through Friday, and Monday in Classroom C while the church is cleaned.
* Adoration of the Most Blessed Sacrament is temporarily suspended while renovations take place within the church.

Public Square Rosary Crusade
Please join us in the 2021 Public Square Rosary Crusade tomorrow, Saturday, October 16th in downtown Stuart at the gazebo near the court house, at 12:00pm. Please bring your own chairs.
Our nation is in great need of public prayer, repentance and conversion. We ask God to save America through the Rosary of His most Holy Mother.

Sock-a-thon

The St. Andrew religious education department and the St. Andrew Apostles of St. John Paul II are collecting new socks (men's and women's pack of 3 socks, ladies soft fuzzy socks, men's and women's half cushioned low cut socks) to warm the feet & toes of residents at our local nursing homes and assisted living facilities within the St. Andrew Parish community. Our youth will be at every door before and after all weekend Masses. During the week, please drop off socks in the vestibule, at the front entrance.
40 Days for Life
Babies and parents are being saved from the tragedy of abortion all over the world during the 40 Days for Life campaigns! Please sign-up after Mass and join us in peaceful prayer outside Planned Parenthood, at 1696 SE Hillmore Dr., Port St. Lucie, FL. Come and see what God does in this next Fall campaign in our local community which began on Wednesday, September 22nd and ends on Sunday, October 31st!
We are asking volunteers to sign up for two hours each week during the six weeks of the campaign. Your prayers and presence at the vigil site do make a difference! Over 15,000 children are alive now because of people like you who chose to love them and their parents! Many women have told us that the reason they changed their minds and chose life was because they saw people like you peacefully praying for them right outside the abortion center. Come be Christ’s merciful love on the sidewalk and allow Him to love others through you! He has no other hands or feet except us in this world. Saint Luke the Evangelist
Feast Day - Oct 18
c. 84 A.D.
Luke wrote one of the major portions of the New Testament, a two-volume work comprising the third Gospel and Acts of the Apostles. In the two books he shows the parallel between the life of Christ and that of the Church. He is the only Gentile Christian among the Gospel writers. Tradition holds him to be a native of Antioch, and Paul calls him “our beloved physician.” His Gospel was probably written between 70 and 85 A.D.
Luke appears in Acts during Paul’s second journey, remains at Philippi for several years until Paul returns from his third journey, accompanies Paul to Jerusalem, and remains near him when he is imprisoned in Caesarea. During these two years, Luke had time to seek information and interview persons who had known Jesus. He accompanied Paul on the dangerous journey to Rome where he was a faithful companion.
Luke’s unique character may best be seen by the emphases of his Gospel, which has been given a number of subtitles:
1) The Gospel of Mercy
2) The Gospel of Universal Salvation
3) The Gospel of the Poor
4) The Gospel of Absolute Renunciation
5) The Gospel of Prayer and the Holy Spirit
6) The Gospel of Joy

How did the Rosary originate?
The legend is that the Virgin Mary instructed St. Dominic to preach the Rosary to thwart heresy. But D.D. Emmons writes: “Neither Dominic nor his order ever made this claim.” The legend spread from an alleged dream of Blessed Alan de la Roche about Mary speaking to St. Dominic.
