Things to Do
in November
- Go for a drive to the mountains. Mountains are the ultimate symbol of stability. It's God's beauty at work in the sights, smells & sounds.
- Have a pie or cookie drop off with family & friends. Everyone has a favourite recipe; make it & deliver it to the doors of those you love.
- Take a walk in Fish Creek Park. Enjoy the stunning beauty of nature remembering that God created heaven & earth.
- Get a blanket & a cup of hot chocolate or tea and cozy up on the couch & watch a movie or read a book. See below for your free subscription to Formed at formed.org for an amazing selection of great movies and wonderful books.
- Go thrift store or antique shopping. Someone else's things are another person's treasure. Kids love to do this so try it as a family.
- Get crafty & make an Advent wreath or Christmas wreath for your front door.
- Finally start your Christmas shopping before Advent begins on November 28th. That way you are not worried or stressed & can begin the spiritual preparation of Advent.
- For a day by day booklet of inspiration to follow along this Advent, our parish will have complimentary copies available the weekend of November 20-21.
