Calling anyone interested in Parish activities to help others! Samaritans is the umbrella ministry that oversees all of the various service activities coordinated out of Resurrection Parish. Click HERE to visit the Samaritans Ministry page on Resurrection’s website to learn more about our variety of current activities, including donation requests for Homeless Solutions and local food pantries. All Samaritans’ efforts are funded by the generosity of Resurrection parishioners. Support takes many forms, including item donations, financial donations for Samaritans, and participation in the ShopWithScrip program. ShopWithScrip is a volunteer coordinated program where you can purchase shopping cards for a wide variety of companies. For every shopping card purchased, Samaritans receives a rebate that is used to help those in need. Feel free to stop by the Scrip table in the Narthex around Masses or contact me to learn more. We have a selection of popular cards in inventory (for example, ACME, WEIS, Shoprite, Wawa); plus, many more types of cards can be ordered. Scrip is a way to help others while making your regular purchases.
If you are interested in receiving Samaritans’ specific updates, please reply to this email. I’ll be sharing information about needs and volunteer opportunities around our four annual drives, along with anything else one off that crops up from the organizations with whom we work or from families directly. If you are interested in helping others, please sign up for Samaritans’ communications.
