Hello everyone! I hope you’ve been enjoying the great weather! The Real Presence, Real Future Parish Consultations have been going well. I hope you’ll join in the remaining sessions next week. See below under Repeat Info.
RCIA going virtual!
Would you like to learn more about your own faith from the comfort of your home? We have a great opportunity for you to do so. Because of the pandemic, this year, we are doing RCIA differently. We have one person who has expressed interest in RCIA and have arranged for her to attend the RCIA classes online. Because these classes are online, this is a great opportunity for current and former parishioners to join in and be able to attend the classes to further their own knowledge of the Catholic faith. Perhaps many of you are cradle Catholics. Maybe it has been years since you’ve gone through a systematic education in your own faith. Maybe you know someone who might be encouraged to come back to Mass and learn more about their faith. If so, please share this with them and invite them back. If you’d like to learn more about your Catholic faith, please join in these live meetings on Sunday evenings from 6:30 – 7:30pm, beginning this Sunday, October 17th. We will have different catechists teaching on a particular topic. You may interact if you’d like during the classes, but it is not necessary. You do not need to commit to all the classes. Come and go as you please. Please save the following link to your calendar and click on it to join in. The link remains the same from week to week. This is available to both parishes.
OLL Veteran’s Day Bazaar
The annual Veteran’s Day Bazaar at OLL will take place on Veteran’s Day, November 11th. You get to have two meals! Lunch will be from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm and Dinner from 4:30 to 6:30 pm.
Bazaar Workshops: Watch the bulletin for specific dates and times for planning, prepping, etc..
Sign Up Sheets for setting up, serving, cleanup, and food donations (which need to be in by November 7!) are in the hall.
We will have the popular Theme Baskets again this year and are asking anyone who plans to make one to deliver it to the Hall by November 3 to be displayed. We hope you will consider creating one - they are a lot of fun to make and bid on and win!
Due to continued Covid restrictions, the meals will be take out or curbside purchase. Baskets and other items for sale will be available in the hall (or outside, weather permitting!)

Have you ever considered the priesthood or know someone who has?
The Pontifical College Josephinum, in Columbus, Ohio, has scheduled a “Come and See” Live-In weekend for November 4 - 6, 2021. The weekend has been set aside to allow young men (high school juniors, seniors, and college-aged students) to visit the seminary for a few days. Live-In participants will experience seminary prayer life, classes, communal worship, and interaction with current seminarians, faculty and staff. Live-In weekends include introductory presentations on discernment, student life, and the college seminary formation program.
The weekend begins with arrival at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 4, and concludes with departure at noon on Saturday, November 6. All meals and recreation are included. There is no charge to participate. For more information, contact Fr. Hahn, Director of Vocations, 614-221-5565, whahn@columbuscatholic.org or your parish priest.

Increased Offertory Program
Thank you to all who have made a commitment to our Increased Offertory Program “Deepening Our Love For God and Neighbor.” This effort is important as we continue to change lives in our communities through our mission and ministries. If you have yet to fill out a Commitment Card, I encourage you to spend time in prayer and discussion with your family, reflecting on the work we do. If you cannot turn in the Commitment Cards at Mass, you may mail them to the office or fill it out on our websites under Online Giving. Thank you for making a commitment to the offertory!
Real Presence, Real Future Parish Consultation Sessions
We had good RPRF Parish Consultation Session this week at OLL. Next week on Monday and Wednesday evening, we will have the Parish Consultation Sessions for ICC. The meetings are scheduled for two hours, but both meetings this week lasted only one hour. I encourage you to join in on the sessions. Even if you cannot join live, please register and the recorded meeting will be emailed to you. Everyone will then be able to give written feedback at their own leisure. These sessions go over proposed draft models of how our parishes might be clustered together in the near future. This is your chance to give your input! You may attend in the St. Anthony Center. The sessions for Immaculate Conception are scheduled for October 18th and October 20th from 6:30pm – 8:30pm.
Attached are the bulletins and Fr. Ferguson’s cat column.
