Dear Parishioners,
I write to inform you that all things being equal I will leave for my home diocese on Tuesday, November 16th. I take this opportunity to thank you for the beautiful friendship you warmly shared with me for the past few years I have been with you. I will go back to Ghana with fond memories of St. Matthew's and OLPH parishioners. I am most grateful to you for all that we share together. I anticipate some of questions you may have, and I try to answer them.
1. Why do you leave us now?
I have finished my studies and I must return to my home diocese. I would have gone back to Ghana last year had it not been travel restrictions imposed by COVID-19 Pandemic. I am happy to inform you that I have graduated from Fordham Law School and have been awarded master's in law-LLM in International Dispute Resolution.
2. What would be your assignment?
I have not been given my assignment yet. I will let you know whatever assignment my bishop gives me.
3. How do we get in touch with you?
My temporary postal address will be: Catholic Diocese of Sunyani Secretariat, Abesim Kumasi Road, P. O. Box 450, Sunyani, Bono Region, Ghana. Email: tofebiri@gmail.com
4. What can we do to help you?
I thank those of you who have already bought my book. I would be happy if you could spread the word and review it on amazon. I am donating all the income to build a school in my diocese in Ghana. So, you could contribute towards the school project through a check payable to the Catholic Diocese of Sunyani. I am not taking used clothes or items.
5. Conclusion
Thanks again for the incredible faith journey we have walked together in this parish for the past few years. I am more indebted to you than I can ever express in words. I am and will always be grateful to you for honoring me with your kindness and warm friendship. I will surely miss all of you.
Gratefully yours, Fr. Thomas
