This Sunday is Tag Night!
This Sunday, the students will spend the evening tying yarn onto the Sharing Tree tags. That might sound boring, but it's a night of fun conversations, pizza, and games! And it's a very important service that we provide to the Salvation Army in their effort to help those in our community who have material needs this Christmas. Hope to see everyone there! :)
Middle school after-school program has begun!
On Fridays from 3:00 to 5:00 PM, all middle schoolers are invited to participate in Reach Out, our middle school after-school service program. For the first six weeks, we will be focusing on projects that benefit our parish and parishioners. View the calendar below. You can sign up by clicking the button below!
October 24 // Middle School Halloween Party
This is a night of fun Halloween-themed games, activities, food, music, and the Maze of Mystery (a series of Halloween-themed challenges that wind through the Parish Center)! Kids are encouraged to dress in their Halloween costumes--there will be prizes awarded for the best cotumes in various categories like, Funniest Costume, Best Group Costume, Cutest Costume, Most Creative Costume, etc.! Friends are welcome (but they will need a permission slip if they are not registered for YM)!
If your child brings a friend that is not registered for YM, he/she will need a permission slip so that we have emergency contact information:
October 30 // NET Ministries Retreat at St. Brigid
This retreat at St. Brigid is for middle and high school students. The theme of the retreat explores our search for true happiness, highlighting the one thing that is big enough to fill our deepest desires – God Himself. October 17 // Cereal Collection begins!
It’s time for the annual Blessed Sacrament Thanksgiving Cereal Collection! All contributions stay right here in the Midland County area and are included along
with the other items gathered throughout the community for distribution in the Thanksgiving food baskets. Please help us to meet our target of 800 boxes! Cereal can be dropped off in the Faith Formation Office from October 17th through November 18th. Stop by the Faith Formation office to see the Great Wall of Cereal and thank you in advance for your continued generosity!
Volunteers are still needed!
I am still looking for volunteers to serve as aides for the small groups. If you have any interest in helping out, even if it's only for a few Sundays, please let me know!
