Dear parishioners,
Sacramental Encounters with Jesus: Please join us this Sunday as we celebrate the 29th Sunday in Ordinary Time. The author of the Book of Hebrews reminds us, "let us confidently approach the throne of grace to receive mercy and to find grace for timely help." At Holy Mass, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, and any sacrament we receive His loving mercy and grace which is all so important for our lives.
To prepare ourselves for reception of the Eucharist - we offer the sacrament of reconciliation on Saturday mornings from 8:30 until all heard and Saturday afternoons from 3:15-4:15. We also have several other times throughout the week to receive God's loving mercy. Please come and experience these amazing gifts.
Pancake Breakfast: After we feed our souls with the grace of the sacraments, please join our parish family for a delicious Pancake Breakfast this Sunday October 17th after the 7:30, 9:30, and 11:30 Masses. Thank you to the Knights of Columbus and St. Vincent de Paul for hosting this community event!
Trunk or Treat: St. Catherine of Siena School is hosting a fun Truck or Treat event for our parish and school families next Saturday October 23rd, from 12:30 - 3:00pm on the big open lawn space where we had the parish picnic. The event will include: pumpkin dash races, a magician, pumpkin decorating contest, food, candy, face painting and more. Please contact the school for more details.
40 Days for Life @ Planned Parenthood: Next Saturday October 23rd, please join fellow parishioners as they travel to Planned Parenthood Aurora in the morning to pray and witness to the sanctity of every human life. A carpool will leave from St. Catherine's parking lot at 8:45am or you are free to meet the group in Aurora.
God's blessings to you all,
Fr. John
