Mass for Feast of All Saints is Monday, Nov. 1, at 9 a.m.
Mass for Feast of All Souls is Tuesday, Nov. 2, at 8 a.m. Have you lost a loved one within the past year?
The Giving Tree will be in the back of church starting Nov. 6.
Join us for donuts and coffee after Mass on Nov. 7.
The Sacrament of Anointing will be celebrated during Masses on Nov. 13-14.
We will honor milestone anniversaries at Masses on Nov. 20-21.
Mass on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 25, is at 9 a.m. Collection for SVDP and food pantry.
The first weekend of Advent is Nov. 27-28.

Stephen Ministers are compassionate individuals who are trained to help us when we encounter troubles in life. They are not counselors or “fixers” when it comes to dealing with difficulties. They simply provide care and support when we need it and help us navigate our present situation. If God is calling you to care and support others in this way, find out more by coming to an informational meeting in the next few weeks. More info about these meetings ...

On the weekend of Oct. 30-31, the 7th grade Girl Scouts wrap up their Socktober campaign for St. Patrick's Center. That weekend will be your last chance to donate new men's or women's socks to the marked bin in the back of church or send to school with your student. Thanks to all who have already donated!

There is no shortage of good causes ... Our school will immediately pivot to support the Operation Sunscreen campaign for troops deployed overseas from Missouri, Kansas, and Illinois. On the weekends of Oct. 30-31 and Nov. 6-7, we will be collecting Slim Jims, pre-packaged cheese-and-cracker snacks, and candy. Please place these items in the marked bin in the back of church or send to school with your student. (Keep this effort in mind when you're wondering what to do with leftover Halloween candy!)

NEWS & EVENTS

Note: There will be no trick or treating at the rectory on Halloween night this year. Father Ron will be making visits to the classrooms next week, delivering sweet treats to all of the students.

Thirty-four teams participated in the PTO Virtual Trivia Night, which raised more than $9,000 from registrations, sponsorships, and raffle chances. The competition was fierce, but the Conleys’ team came out on top. Winner of the 50-50 Raffle was Jeff Morgan; Amy Cervantes won the Kate Spade bag; and Jake Dallas won the Downtown St. Louis Getaway. Chad and Janet Wilcox are hanging up their money aprons and stepping down after chairing this event for many years. We thank them for their hard work, as well as all who played and worked behind the scenes.

Save the date: Planning for the next SSP Gala is under way! Put Feb. 26, 2022, on your calendar and stand by for more information in the coming weeks. This promo aired during the PTO Trivia Night and reveals the much-anticipated THEME of the event!

SCHOOL

What are the odds??? The State of Missouri entered COVID-vaccinated adolescents in a lottery for $10,000 each in scholarship funds. Of the 100 winners statewide, two of them are SSP students! Congratulations to 7th graders Ella Conley and An Cao!

In preparation for their joining the Big Kids at Mass later this year, Father Ron gave the Pre-K Dragonflies and Busy Bees a tour of the church this morning.
