Hello, Faith-Filled Families!
I love the Faith Can Move Mountains assignments that were submitted. Children really wrote what was in their hearts on their mountains for God to move. That is a step in faith that can be encouraged by bringing God into your conversations, especially when there are struggles with schoolwork, relationships, and reaching out to others. Like learning gymnastics or shooting baskets, the more you practice the better you get. Remember: God's Got This!
This Week: There is no lesson this weekend so it's a great time to catch up if you missed any. Go to saintjamesnovi.org and scroll down to Faith on the Go. All our past lessons are there so check and see if you did them all. Feel free to email me if you have any questions.
Kids Envelopes: This year we started a new initiative to help our children see how important they are in building God's kingdom. Boxes of envelopes were given to our on-site RE classes to think about and show how they share their time, talent and treasure. There is a space on the envelope to write what they did that week such as emptying the dishwasher or helping a friend. Monetary contributions are optional and those funds received will go to our Children's ministry fund for building an outdoor prayer garden. These envelopes are deposited in the contribution kiosks in the narthex and many are on display. If you would like envelopes for your children please let me know and I will label them and place them in the narthex for pick-up.
Trunk or Treat:
Saturday, October 30: Children are encouraged to wear costumes to 4:00 mass (no gore please) after which there will be a parade to the back parking lot for pizza and trunk or treating.
I wish you all a safe and happy Halloween!
May God bless and strengthen your family!
