STATE OF THE PARISH & STEWARDSHIP
Hey Friends, attached is the State of the Parish which also includes our Stewardship request for this year. I ask that you please read the attached document because it lays out the vision for the parish for this next year and following and ties in how Stewardship, Giving, plays into it all. Also, I am attaching the Archdiocesan Pastoral Plan so that you can see the guiding vision that will be helping us discern the future!
Stewardship of Treasure Campaign 2022
This weekend we are asking everyone to prayerfully reflect on how we are called to continue to sustain our parish and the ministries that support the mission of Jesus Christ. We ask that all our parishioners partake of the joy in giving back to God's community and return their commitment card as soon as possible. You may also make an on-line pledge here.
2020-21 Parish Annual Report
Each year, St. Anne staff assembles an annual report for our parishioners. Our 2020-21 Annual Report includes highlights from all the various ministries within our church, as well as an overview of our parish financials.
Opportunity to Help Our Neighbors this Weekend
This weekend we will take up a collection for St. Vincent de Paul to help our neighbors in need.
Your St. Vincent de Paul Conference recently completed its annual report for the fiscal year October 1, 2020 – September 30, 2021. Thanks to your generosity we were able to help 265 adults and children with housing assistance, as well as provide other support including clothing vouchers to the Ballard Goodwill, utility payments, bus tickets, food cards to Safeway and QFC/Fred Meyer, phone bills when needed for employment, and more.
We receive many verbal thank you's when we call to let our neighbors know that they have received funding. Once in a while we use email. From one of our neighbors to you: “Thank you so very much. I appreciate you more than I can express. Thank you for helping me.”

National Vocation Awareness Week
Vocation Awareness Week will be celebrated in our country November 7-13, 2021. Please ask Our Lord for more dedicated, holy priests, deacons, and consecrated men and women. May they be inspired by Jesus Christ, supported by our faith community, and respond generously to God's gift of vocation.
Please support vocations by praying for men and women the Lord is calling to work in his vineyard, especially through our parish. Supporting vocations also means praying for those who have already said yes, that they may say yes with renewed love every day.
Let us unite in prayer for Fr. Colin by praying the ‘Glory Be’ daily for him this week. May he be a priest who shows us the love of Our Heavenly Father. Also please include in your prayers the three priests from St. Anne who currently serve the Seattle Archdiocese: Fr. Michael Ryan (1966), Fr. Paul Magnano (1967), and Fr. Jim Dalton (1968) as well as Sr. Judy Ryan, S.N.J.M and Sr. Susan Casey, O.S.B.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
Remembering Those Who Have Died
Our Altar of Remembrance
Every year, the Church takes the month of November to remember those who have died. This tradition reminds us of our belief that, while we may be physically separated from loved ones now, we will be reunited with them one day in God’s kingdom. During November, our parish Book of the Dead will be available near the baptismal font for you to enter the names of those who have died. Our Altar of Remembrance is also there - a place where all are invited to bring a picture of someone they have lost and put it on the altar. Thank you for sharing the memory of your loved one(s) who have died with our parish community.
Pray the Rosary
We are starting a rosary group at St. Anne’s and would love it if you could join us starting this week. Everyone is welcomed so if you don’t know how to pray the rosary booklets will be provided, so even if you don’t know how to say the rosary you can. Rosaries and prayer booklets are available.
Wednesday – Fridays at 5pm followed by mass at 5:30
Please come join us as we pray to our Blessed Mother and meditate on the mysteries of Our Lord Jesus, and receive its many blessings.
Thank you!
Special thanks to Karen Smith, Marty Hillary, Jane Flemming, Ken Paulson, John Garrity, Caitlin Moulding and Rebecca Cortes who will be leading us in prayer!
