There are a few things that I wanted to get on AND off everyone's calendar for the month in case you missed Monday's note:
The Pasta Dinner is cancelled for Saturday due to some unforeseeable circumstances including illness. It may be rescheduled for the winter. We'll keep you updated. Thank you to everyone who was generously thinking of coming to support the High School Youth Outreach Team.

If so, consider joining Lyn Pajk for 4 sessions of faith sharing, employing The Visual Faith Practice as a jumping off point as we use images to connect Scripture to our lives and faith stories. We begin November 9 at 7:00.

Join us at Grape Beginnings Winery on Main Street from 7:00-8:30 for 90 minutes of fellowship and conversation in a relaxed atmosphere.
This month's topic:
1. Last Thanksgiving, we weren't able to gather as families because of the pandemic. What are you most looking forward to this year at Thanksgiving, what are you thankful for, and who might you be missing at the table?

Everyone is ALSO Invited...
The Parishes of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and Blessed Sacrament invite you to join Sr. Janet Schaeffler, OP on Saturday, December 4 from 9:00-2:00 as she leads us on an Advent retreat. Assumption Parish will be hosting our time together. Sr. Janet will provide opportunities to support our Advent journey through reflective input, prayer, music, quiet time and conversations as we look at this season from a new perspective. One that might shed a different light, offer additional meanings, and provide us with memorable celebrations for the season.
November 11 is Veterans Day.
No prayer could ever be enough to to truly thank our veterans, but prayer is always an appropriate gift of gratitude when offered with a sincere heart:
Dear Lord,
Today we honor our veterans, worthy men and women who gave their best when they were called upon to serve and protect their country.
We pray that you will bless them for their unselfish service in the continual struggle to preserve our freedoms, our safety, and our country’s heritage, for all of us.
Bless them abundantly for the hardships they faced, for the sacrifices they made for their many different contributions to America’s victories over tyranny and oppression.
We respect them, we thank them, we honor them, we are proud of them. We pray that you will watch over these special people and bless them with peace and happiness.
