The spirit of generosity and thanksgiving is alive and well at Azure Hills! The pastors and church board are thankful and appreciate the generous spirit exhibited by our members throughout the year. This is displayed in acts of kindness to others, volunteering our time and talents, meeting needs in our community, and faithfully supporting our mission with tithe and offerings.

Since 2012, a generosity movement has taken root throughout faith-based, community-serving nonprofits and charities. Special emphasis is made during November and December surrounding Giving Tuesday on November 30th. It’s a simple idea: whether it’s making someone smile, helping a neighbor or stranger out, showing up for an issue or people we care about, or giving some of what we have to those who need our help, every act of generosity counts and everyone has something to give.

As we enter into these months of Thanksgiving and reflect on the priceless gift of Christmas, we invite you to consider this question: What more can I do to be generous in making a difference in the lives of others? Each of us has been blessed with multiple God-given talents. In the weeks ahead, you will learn more about how we make a difference as we give of ourselves in service and how we can have the opportunity to support the mission of being a Voice of Hope in our community. We are working to ensure the safety of our church family during this pandemic. Here are our current guidelines:

Gatherings will follow Federal, State of California, San Bernardino County, and Southeastern California Conference guidelines.

Our children continue to be one of our most precious responsibilities. Everyone over two years old will wear masks in the Children’s Ministry areas, sanctuary, and public areas.

Everyone should wash their hands regularly. 

In compliance with local health guidelines, meals and unpackaged food may be eaten indoors when served by individual(s) wearing mask and gloves.

We encourage at-risk individuals to carefully consider their safety at in-person gatherings and for everyone to be fully vaccinated.

Our church was full of excitement as Adventurer and Pathfinder Club members were inducted this past Sabbath! Both groups led our worship services, with the Adventurers leading our first service and the Pathfinders leading second. Members from each club guided the groups in their respective pledge and law and led our church in scripture reading. 

Brandy and James Farley serve as directors of the Adventurer Club while Franz and Jannet Sanchez direct the Pathfinders. “We are very grateful for our Adventurer and Pathfinder leaders who invest so much in mentoring our kids and young people!! It was deeply moving to see them upfront and pray over them as they engage in growth in relationship with Jesus, others, and service in the world,” said our Senior Pastor, Tara VinCross. 

We praise God for our 101 Adventurers, 74 Pathfinders, and countless staff and volunteers! Join us in praying for them for a fantastic year ahead!

Kitchens of Care is an opportunity to share the love of Christ tangibly with someone who needs a warm Thanksgiving meal. Leina DeCarlo is celebrating her 85th birthday this Sabbath! Happy Birthday, Leina!
