Hey Friends,
Happy Sunday! This week we will be getting ready for next Sunday, the feast of Christ the King, where we will be celebrating baptisms and confirmations of some of our parishioners who are becoming Catholic! The 10 am Mass next week will be amazing.
Also, the Archbishop is lifting the dispensation on December 8th, which means that weekly Mass attendance will be required again. I will have a whole homily about that and what it means on the 1st Sunday of Advent.
Thanks again to all those who have already made their pledges for stewardship! We are still in our campaign. We are asking for $200 per month for first-time pledges, and for those of you who have pledged before, please consider a 5% increase.
Lastly, sorry about the tech issue with the live stream this morning!
Blessings, Fr Colin

Contemplative Prayer
Contemplative Prayer is the opportunity to listen to the first language of God - silence. Meeting God in a contemplative practice provides a sense of homecoming, fullness, and inner clarity. The facilitated St Anne House of Prayer Contemplative Prayer evening began about 10 years ago and had met weekly prior to the pandemic. It is exciting to begin sitting in silent prayer again - in community - in the beloved Convent.
Those who attend this group utilize whatever silent prayer practice they are comfortable with, which can include but is not exclusive of Centering Prayer. The facilitator will offer a reflection and invitation to center oneself in a meditation prayer posture.
Exciting Liturgical Celebrations Next Week
Friday, November 19, 5:30 PM Mass: 4 mothers who just happen to have 2nd graders at St. Anne School will celebrate their first ritual step of their RCIA journey. Danielle Gilliland and Susie Fritzky will celebrate the Rite of Becoming a Catechumen. Anne Reisenhauer and Natalie Albainy will celebrate the Rite of Welcoming of Candidates for Full Communion in the Catholic Church. Please join with them and include them in your prayers.

We will also celebrate the initiation into the Catholic Church of Jessica and Thom Rose and Toni Clemmons who will make a Solemn Profession of Faith, and then celebrate Confirmation and 1st Communion. Again, join us for this awesome event and keep all these families in your prayers.

"Make the Lord’s Day a true celebration

St. Anne Parish will continue to livestream the Sunday 10 am Mass.
Remembering Those Who Have Died
Our Altar of Remembrance
Every year, the Church takes the month of November to remember those who have died. This tradition reminds us of our belief that, while we may be physically separated from loved ones now, we will be reunited with them one day in God’s kingdom. During November, our parish Book of the Dead will be available near the baptismal font for you to enter the names of those who have died. Our Altar of Remembrance is also there - a place where all are invited to bring a picture of someone they have lost and put it on the altar. Thank you for sharing the memory of your loved one(s) who have died with our parish community.

The goal for the 2021 Move-a-thon was $39,000 but St. Anne students weren’t even breathing hard as they blew past that challenge. They will celebrate with an all-school free dress day and ice cream sandwiches. As the class that raised the most money, the first shall be first. First graders will be celebrating their $7,680 contribution with a PJ day and movie. The greatest celebration though is of the family and friends of St. Anne School whose commitment and generosity posted this stellar number.
CYO Soccer. After a two year break, soccer was back. Grades K-4 played an abbreviated spring schedule and it was business as usual for Grades 5-8. The 8th grade boys, 8th grade girls and 7th grade boys all qualified for the playoffs.
From coach and Soccer Director Chris Roozen: As coaches and parents, it was enjoyable to see all the levels of play, everyone learning/sharpening soccer tactics and skills, the commitment to having fun with friends and the fair play between other CYO teams….Parents, coaches and team volunteers…make it possible to have a successful season. Success [is] having fun with our wins and learning from our losses.
Another celebration of dedication and generosity of the coaches: Rocky McDonald, Brian Reisenaur, Samatha Stack, Christina Kelly, Daniel Dupuis, Ross Maddalena, Mark Cristalli, Gina Grothkopp, Patrick Negron, Matt Rain, Mike Pelletier, Steve Wingert, Mark Keilholz, Mike Siderius, Cheryl Overbey and especially to Chris Roozen.
Veterans Day. And yet a third celebration of commitment and generosity. Covid precluded an all-school gathering to remember our veterans but activities and readings were held in each classroom.
