Make sure to observe the holiday and thank a veteran today!
This Saturday, November 13, is the Memorial of Saint Frances Xavier Cabrini. Because she is an important saint for us in the USA and because many members of the former parish names after her became members at Saint Anthony Parish, we are offering Mass at 8:00 a.m. this Saturday.
In the 1880s, St. Cabrini asked for Pope Leo XIII's permission to establish missions in China. But he sent her West instead, from Italy to the United States. Mother Cabrini is a great example of how God often has plans for us that are different than we expect.
This Sunday, November 14, is World Day of the Poor. This year’s theme is “The poor you will always have with you” (Mk 14:7).
St. Anthony of Padua Parish is working with the Cohasset Food Pantry to provide 65 families with a hearty Thanksgiving meal, entitled: “Fill-A-Thanksgiving Bag”. Festive Thanksgiving-themed bags are available after all Masses this week/ weekend in the Parish Center. Each bag comes with a “grocery list” of nonperishable food items. Turkeys will be provided by the Cohasset Food Pantry.
The Confirmation candidates will organize the bags and add a special note for each family. Please return your “filled bag” no later than Sunday, November 21.
Thanksgiving Bags will be distributed to the family at the Cohasset Food Pantry.
