Dear Parents,
In the past week and a half, we have seen a significant uptick in the amount of COVID cases within our student body as well as a major increase in the amount of croup and RSV among the students. At this time, we are asking for a heightened awareness and vigilance surrounding the monitoring of symptoms associated with several illnesses, most especially COVID. If your child has ANY symptoms and has had contact with anyone who has COVID, PLEASE DO NOT SEND THEM TO SCHOOL!
All of that being said, with the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday we are certainly wanting our STM families to be as healthy as possible so everyone can enjoy and celebrate the beauty of giving thanks for all we have been blessed with by God. Because of our collective desire to keep our students and families healthy, we have made the difficult decision to extend our Thanksgiving break to include Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday – November 22 – 24. So, to be clear, our Thanksgiving break will be from Monday, November 22 through Monday, November 29 with a return date of Tuesday, November 30. Lion’s Den will also be closed on these days.
In order to accommodate this change, we will need to adjust the calendar so 4 of our scheduled ½ days will now be full days. These dates include January 14, February 11, March 10, and May 27. We WILL have early dismissal on December 17, and April 14.
We apologize for the short notice of this decision and pray you all have a blessed, peaceful, and joy-filled Thanksgiving.
Peace and blessings,
Mrs. DeWolfe and Mrs. Hady
