We are very happy to announce that our parish now has access to premium video content from Word on Fire.

These films and videos feature Bishop Robert Barron who has been hailed as “one of the Church’s greatest messengers" and is the second most-followed Catholic in the world on social media (behind only Pope Francis.)

He is best known for his CATHOLICISM film series and his Emmy-nominated Pivotal Players series, which have both aired on PBS and EWTN, and have been seen by millions of people.

Thanks to Flocknote, our parish's email and texting tool, we can now send you short Bishop Barron videos with engaging questions via email or text message. We encourage you to participate in our parish discussions as together we draw deeper into the Faith.

In addition, you now have access to the entire Word on Fire digital video library. You can watch any of Bishop Barron's films or study programs whenever you want, on any device!

Advent Devotional for Families — Throughout Advent Season

As we know, the best way to teach children our Catholic Faith is to include them in our own prayer time. Children love to be included and this is one way for that to happen. Starting next week, we will have Family Advent packets for you to take home. These packets contain the Jesse Tree program. The Jesse Tree is a great introduction to some figures of the Bible that your children (or even you) may not be aware of. We hope that this simple way to introduce people and events inspires you.

St. Mary's Youth Choir —

The Youth Choir is going to start rehearsing on November 21st to prepare for Christmas!! Open to all children including HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS Rehearsals are Nov 21 & 28 | Dec 5, 12, 19 | 10:00AM-11:00am in the Murphy Room. Please note: WE WILL BE SINGING AT THE 4:00 PM MASS ON CHRISTMAS EVE. We will NOT be singing on Christmas Day.

Advent Retreat w/ Fr. Timothy Gallagher, OMV Wednesday, Dec 1 @ 7PM

We will livestream this Advent evening retreat led by Fr. Timothy Gallagher, OMV. Fr. Timothy is a sought-after retreat director and former provincial of the Oblates of the Virgin Mary in the United States, he is the author of nearly a dozen books about the spirituality of Saint Ignatius of Loyola, including The Examen Prayer and, most recently, The Discernment of Spirits in Marriage.

KofC Christmas Wreaths — Dec 4 & 5

The Knights of Columbus will be selling wreaths after all Masses the weekend of Dec. 4th and 5th. Cost per wreath $20 while supply lasts.

Lessons and Carols at St. John’s Seminary - Sunday, Dec 5

Hear anew the prophetic telling of the world’s salvation, listen to St. John’s Seminary Schola as they perform exquisite choral meditations, and sing together with them the most beloved Advent hymns proclaiming the coming of our Savior’s birth. After the service, guests are invited to join the seminarians for mulled cider, holiday cookies, and cheerful conversation befitting this sacred season.

St. Mary’s will provide a free bus for those who would like to join us at St. John’s Seminary. The bus will leave at 1:30 and return approx. 6:30pm. Seats are limited. Please call the Rectory or email lbubencik@stmarysfoxboro.orgto reserve your seats. Tickets to this event are free but it is customary to give a donation to the Seminary.

Eucharistic Adoration — Wednesday, Dec 8 from 9:30AM - 6:30PM

We need two persons in the presence of the Lord throughout each hour of Eucharistic Adoration. If you can sign up for an hour, please use link below. If we don’t have enough people signed up by December 6, we will need to cancel the adoration for this month.

Foxboro Men's Group —Dec 11 @ 3:30PM

Fr. Hynes will lead us in prayer in honor of the Feast of Our Lady of Guadelupe, for peace and protection of our parish and country, and in reparation for those acts that wound Her Immaculate Heart. For more info and to sign up, click here.

Prayer Partners for Confirmation

Our confirmation classes are off to a great start, with approximately 70 students attending the first class. If you would like to support one, or more, of our confirmation candidates, please consider becoming a Prayer Partner. Volunteers are asked to pray for a student from now until Confirmation on May 22 and write a note of support/encouragement as the day draws near. If you are interested in becoming a Prayer Partner, please email Julie Foley at jfoley@stmarysfoxboro.org. You may request a student you know, or one will be assigned to you. As always, your prayers are greatly appreciated and mean a lot to our ninth grade students.

Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults

Then sign up for our Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults class. RCIA begins soon and culminates with the reception of the Sacraments of Initiation at the Easter Vigil. Synod on Synodality

Over the next several years, the Church around the world will be participating in a process called the Synod on Synodality. The Holy Father will be meeting with bishops from across the globe in 2023 to discuss ways of improving the process by which the Church on all levels is open to hearing the voices of people from all walks of life. The process begins in Boston now, asking that as many people as possible to take a simple survey (click here).
