Today’s readings focus on two comings of Jesus: as the fulfillment of God’s promise to the Chosen People and as judge at the end of time. The prophet Jeremiah and the apostle Paul offer words of hope and encouragement to their people as they anticipate these events. In the meantime, Paul advises the Thessalonians that they should act even more out of love for one another in the meantime. Become a volunteer! Volunteers are an essential part of the SVDP. Through their work, commitment, and hope, we can undertake many forms of social action which benefit millions of people. Each of us has something special to contribute. The SVDP has a broad framework of action, in which you are sure to find something to suit you and where your contribution will be valuable.
We are starting home visits with the help of St. Mary's Plantersville SVDPS. We are close to being on our own and serving those in need! Please pray for this important ministry to those in need.
Thank you to everyone who donated to the St. Vincent De Paul Society Black Bag collection and the food bin in the Narthex. Please continue to drop off food for families in need.

On behalf of Christ Our Light & St. Stanislaus parishes, the clergy, and staff, I would like to thank you for your kind generosity in assisting with the Thanksgiving Meals for the families in need. Once again, everyone shared their Thanksgiving Day morning volunteering with this yearly tradition of providing meals for those in need.
