It seems the Christmas Choir link in Weekly Update worked only for me. :(
Below is the note you should have seen, with a link to a very short poll at the end. If you submit the poll, you'll hear from us next week about the schedule and the songs we will be singing.
Greetings, dear singers!
Last year, many of you participated in our virtual Christmas choir by recording your voices individually so we could digital meld everyone together. Since last Christmas we have been blessed with the availability of COVID vaccines, which makes singing together under certain conditions more of a possibility.
So this year, as Stephen continues his recuperation, Anne and Gary have agreed to each direct a Christmas choral piece to be recorded as a group. We will gather in church, sit safely distanced in the main body, and remain masked at all times. With just two pieces to learn, practices will be fairly short.
While we will not be singing together in person at the Christmas Masses, we will record our private group recording and share it digitally before Masses, as we did last year.
It's a busy season, of course, and we are getting a late jump, so we'd like to get practices scheduled as soon as possible. The last scheduled practice will be the recording session.
Please click the button below to let us know your availability via a quick survey with a list of dates. Next week we'll send out a practice schedule that will accommodate most people, most of the time. We would appreciate it if everyone who's interested could complete the survey by Monday, Nov. 29.
