Starting next year, I'm going to stop scheduling regular events for this group and doing monthly updates. This follows a lot of thought and prayer.
This Group is not as active as it once was, and I believe God is calling me to other things now. There are a few other young adult groups in the area I will recommend. (see end of this letter)
Thanks to Jen and Mel for helping out 👏
Thanks Veronica for some good advice 👏
And thanks to all the hosts and co-hosts of our events. ✝
I will be leaving our WhatsApp chats open. I'll make it clear on our web page that we are not active like before, and primarily direct them to our chats. You may continue to post events and prayer requests on WhatsApp, and invite others to those chats.
We'll have our final Group Gathering at the Priestley's Christmas Paradise,
When: December 18, 6 PM
Where: 4133 Lassiter Rd. Wake Forest NC 27587
White Elephant:
Bring a wrapped / bagged gift of cost $15 or less to participate.
We will have a fun game choosing and swapping gifts. It can be something useful, or utterly ridiculous.
There are a lot of other young adult ministries in Raleigh, including:
Raleigh Catholic Young Adults - A very active facebook page with events and posts.
https://www.facebook.com/groups/shcyagIf you don't like facebook, they also have an e-mail newsletter similar to this one detailing each week's events. Contact
raleighcatholicya@gmail.com to get signed up.
Many other parishes have young adult groups with varying levels of activity, I know there is a lot going on at Our Lady of Lourdes
https://www.facebook.com/groups/168727511811089St. Joseph in South Raleigh and St. Thomas Moore in Chapel Hill also have particularly active communities.
During my time as a Group leader I have been praying that God would hear each of your intentions, and now I pray that you will all continue to find faith hope and love wherever God takes you.
Perhaps He'll take you to one of these fine events:
