Rejoice! This week we celebrate the Third Sunday of Advent, traditionally Gaudete (Rejoice) Sunday, and light the pink candle on our Advent wreath.
We love because God first loved us, enough to become one of us. Christmas is the celebration of that act of solidarity, and Gaudete Sunday is a reminder that we’re getting closer to it. So rejoice!

Loving God, the Incarnation of your Son brought hope to the world. In becoming one with us, Jesus showed us the true potential and dignity of the human person. Help us to live up to that potential and honor that dignity within ourselves and others. We ask this in your most holy name. Amen.
Fr. Canisius extends a sincere "Thank You" to all those who stayed after Mass last weekend for our Town Hall meetings. Your presence, and your patience, were greatly appreciated. We look forward to continuing the conversation at our Listening Sessions in the new year.
Join Deacon Steve Roscher this Sunday, December 12th at 5:00pm for a Holy Hour in honor of Our Lady of Guadalupe. The hour will include prayer, scripture, reflection, adoration, and benediction.

O Come Little Children (& parents, too!)
Saturday, December 18th will be a very exciting day at St. Charles. We are inviting all children grades K-8 and their parents to take part in the Mass. They will join together with the choir to sing a carol. Father will also offer a special blessing over the children. Each family will receive a special gift.
