4th Sunday of Advent
12/19/21
Dear St. Joseph Parish Family,
We are on the cusp on Christmas! As a preparation, consider going to confession if it’s been awhile. The entire Archdioceses of New York and Brooklyn are hosting Reconciliation Monday tomorrow, where every parish in the city, including St. Joe’s, will be open for confessions from 11am-1pm and from 6pm-8pm.
Also, please remember that because Christmas falls on a Saturday this year, every Catholic is obliged to attend Mass both for Christmas and for the following Sunday. In other words, go to Mass twice this upcoming weekend.
This Thursday after the 12:10 pm daily Mass we’ll be decorating the church for Christmas. Please join us and help make St. Joseph’s beautiful this Christmas!
As we round the last corner to Christmas, remember to keep close to the reality we’re celebrating – the birth of our savior. Consider reading the 1st and 2nd chapters of the Gospel according to Luke. It won’t take long but it will remind you why we’ve been preparing all Advent for Christ’s coming and what it all means.
Have a blessed final week of Advent,
Fr. Boniface
