And the Funnies (hopefully):
A Christmas Boem
The Bed & Breakfast was booked,
but the barn was bare.
The bride and her beau abided there.
Both bedded down between bales and bovines,
The betrothed bravely awaited the begetting time.
Briefly, then befell that beautiful bride,
The bounties and blessings of a beautiful child.
o
A blinding, brilliant, bright bolt from the blue!
The blare of bugles,
the blast of a multitude!
A bundle of beings from heaven’s blue sky,
Blurted a ballad of bidding to shepherds beguiled:
“Believe us or bust, in Bethlehem this eve,
A boy is born, a blessing received!
We beseech you bade ‘bye to the business of sheep,
And beyond in the burg bow to a baby asleep!
In a barn betake the beauteous pair,
The belle in blue and the baby she bares.”
Boggling their brows the shepherds beheld in the sky,
A buoy, a beacon, a bedazzling guide.
The baffled band then buttoned their boots.
“To Bethlehem!” they bellowed, the star in pursuit!
o
On the Bethlehem bypass with bounties to bring,
Three bejeweled, bodacious, boisterous kings.
Above, their beacon ablaze boasting the birth,
Below, they on camels’ bumps bawling, “It hurts!”
Brought to bequeath him three gifts that day,
In the barn on bended knee they bowed to that babe.
And the bashful beau beamed at his bride and his son.
These blessing a Christmas could not be out done.

o
The humble beginnings of this one baby boy,
I beg bring you bliss and much Christmas joy!
