Dear parishioners,
As we draw near to the celebration of the Lord's Nativity, we continue our preparations as we light the 4th candle on our Advent wreath this weekend. The Lord is near. Please join us for Holy Mass, there is plenty of room for all. Mass times are 4:30 tonight (Saturday) and then 7:30am, 9:30am, and 11:30am on Sunday. After the 11:30am Mass we will pray a Christmas rosary outside in front of the Church and school. It will be a prayerful visible reminder that Jesus is the reason for the season!
On Tuesday evening, December 21st we will have our final 5:30pm Mass of Advent in the chapel. It has been very nice to worship in the evening with those who are able to make it. Also, at 7:00pm that evening we will have a Communal Penance Service to give you the opportunity for reconciliation with the Lord prior to Christmas. Several area priests will be available. We will begin at 7:00pm with a prayer together, a few words, and then individual confessions. Please come to experience the loving mercy of Jesus. We have printed examinations of conscience brochures that are available to take in the gathering space to review during your prayer time.
Christmas Mass Schedule is as follows:
St. Catherine's
Christmas Eve Friday December 24th: 4:00pm, 6:00pm, and Midnight
Christmas Day Saturday December 25th: 7:30am, 9:30am, and 11:30am
St. Mary Gilbert's will have a 9:00am Mass on Christmas Day.
Music prelude's will begin 15 minutes before each Mass.
Please note that the 4:00pm Mass on Christmas Eve will be the most crowded. We will have extra chairs in the back of the Church and we will also have the chapel open for those who would like to have a little more social distancing during the Mass.
God bless you all as we journey through this week,
Fr. John
