As many of you know, the pandemic has caused families to reorganize priorities and make changes that help us to thrive in these uncertain times. We know that the model of weekly or bi-weekly Faith Formation classes may not always be ideal for every family. Particularly those with multiple children involved in multiple extra-curricular activities. Likewise, not every family can successfully endeavor in Home-study or Remote learning. With all of this in mind, we have come up with four models of Faith Formation that may offer some solutions for next year.
Below you will find the four Models explained. Read each option carefully and then please rank them below.
Model One:
One Week Summer Intensive program. With this model, students would only come to Faith Formation for One week in the Summer from 9:00am to 3:00pm. (Lunch is included), Attend the K-12 Family Christmas Gathering, the Son Rise Camp during Holy Week and the May Crowning celebration. (And two additional family events and celebrations that are offered throughout the year.)
Model Two:
Two Week Summer Intensive program. With this model, students would only come to Faith Formation for a two-week program in the Summer from 9:00am to 12:00pm. (Lunch is included), Attend the K-12 Family Christmas Gathering, the Son Rise Camp during Holy Week and the May Crowning celebration. (And two additional family events and celebrations that are offered throughout the year.)
Model Three:
Home Study-Remote Program. Families would do the weekly assignment given in the Newsletter and would have a monthly Zoom check in. Then Families attend any 5 community events of their choice, as offered throughout the year.
Model Four:
Weekly and Bi-Weekly Faith Formation classes as has been the traditional
in-person model from October to May. Families are invited to participate in any of the Family Events and Celebrations of their choosing.
