Some of you noticed that I was not around for the Sunday Masses as usual and without notice. I was at an Urgent Care being diagnosed with Shingles of the face. It has gotten worse before it gets better. Set to see an eye doctor tomorrow to ensure all is OK.
Given where things are now with a rash (thankfully no pain), fever (tested negative for COVID last Saturday and this eve) and swelling, my participation at Christmas is looking like a miracle (prayers will be accepted though).
Thank you Fr. Rafferty and Fr. Thumma for stepping up, for the wonderful support the Rectory staff has been and for our Maintenance team, Saint Veronica’s Guild, our School and Sr. Nancy for getting the parish campus decorated for the big day!
Have a blessed preparation for Christmas and know you are in my daily prayers and Masses.
In Christ,
Msgr. Luke Sweeney
