Hello Friends!
You may have noticed our kings in front of the church getting closer and closer to the manger over the past several weeks. Well, this weekend, they will finally arrive! With the celebration of Epiphany, we draw closer to the Lord, just as the magi drew closer when they followed the star. Today and every day, let us bring the best of our gifts to lay before the Lord.
I'm praying for all of you in this most recent COVID surge. I myself have been hit by the virus. I'm only mildly symptomatic, and doing fine, but I've had to make some changes to our Mass schedule. Here's the schedule through the weekend:
- Thursday, December 30 - 8:30am daily Mass CANCELLED
- Friday, December 31 - 5:30pm Vigil for the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God celebrated by Fr. Jimmy Hsu, CSP
- Saturday, January 1 - 8:30am Mass CANCELLED
- Saturday, January 1 - 4:30pm Mass celebrated by Fr. Charlie Klinger
- Sunday, January 2 - 8:45am Mass celebrated by Fr. Charlie Klinger
- Sunday, January 2 - 11:30 Mass celebrated by Fr. Mike Hartge
I am grateful for my brother priests and their willingness to cover for me. Please convey your gratitude when you see them!
Praying we all get through this very soon. Stay well!
Under the Protection of Our Lady of Peace,
Fr. Dooley
