Dear parish family,
Merry Christmas! It was a wonderful celebration we had together these past days!
This weekend we continue our joyful Christmas celebration with the Solemnity of Mary the Mother of God. We honor Mary for her amazing role in the plan of our salvation and how she continually accompanies us on our journey through life. This Feast is not a Holy Day of Obligation this year, but it is still a great opportunity for us to gather for worship of God and to give due honor to Mary. We will have one Mass tonight, Friday December 31st at 4:30pm. Then on Saturday morning January 1st we will have our regularly scheduled 8:00am Mass. Both Masses will be celebrated in the Church.
This weekend we also celebrate the Solemnity of Epiphany, otherwise known as, the Manifestation of God to all the Nations. Please join us to worship the same God that the Wise Men worshipped back at the first Nativity Scene! We will have Mass at 4:30pm on Saturday January 1st, and then our three regular scheduled Masses on Sunday morning January 2nd - 7:30am, 9:30am, and 11:30am.
As we begin the New Year, I pray that each of us encounter the Lord Jesus in new and beautiful ways this coming year. He is with us - let us continue to open our hearts and minds to His presence, both in the good times and the challenging times.
I will keep everyone informed on some of the activities and faith formation opportunities we will be having in the new year.
God bless you all and a Blessed New Year,
Fr. John
