Each new year brings opportunities to do better, to be better. Resolutions come easy but change does not. Fortunately, God continues to provide us with opportunities to help us evolve. Some come in the form of parish programs. Here are three that could help us "become better versions of ourselves" (as Matthew Kelly would say).
Between Masses on Sunday mornings
Join us for an uplifting program based on our favorite Bishop Robert Barron video series,
Sins and Virtues. As we said before, everyone wants to be happier but change is difficult and it's not always obvious what we really need. Bishop Barron has some really great suggestions and we'll look at and discuss them over the seven Sunday mornings beginning on January 21. Good ideas, good conversations, good friends. Join us at 10:15AM in the Bernadette Center Classroom. Please.
Pro-Life
Pro-life is often misunderstood to mean simply anti-abortion. It is much more that that. Yes, abortion is a huge problem... but there are other reasons to be concerned about the devaluing of life in the U.S. The elderly, the disabled and the poor can tell us much about that. What can we do? Saturday afternoon on January 13 provides us with an opportunity to highlight our values by participating in the
NC Right to Life Rally. Family friendly, join the hundreds of youth from the Raleigh Diocese
Love My Life Annual Youth Rally, priests and other adults downtown (on the Halifax Mall) at 1:30PM on Saturday, January 13. For details and photos
