A Message from Dave Nissen
Christmas 2021 was full of surprises and 2022 is beginning differently than I ever would have imagined or expected. I will be leaving my role within the Winton Wyoming Pastoral Region in mid-January. I never thought I would leave a place that has been such a big part of my professional, spiritual, and personal life over the past 37 years. This was not an easy decision, but with the uncertainty of my role in the new family of parishes, when I was offered the role of campus minister at Mercy McAuley High School, I thought it was time to explore that new challenge. While I will miss serving this community, I am looking forward to focusing on serving the high school students at Mercy McAuley. Lisa and I will remain parishioners, and I will continue as a volunteer in the youth group for the time being, as I love the young people who attend, and at this moment cannot imagine a Sunday night without them. Thank you to all the parishioners who have been a part of the many ministries with which I have been privileged to lead. Thank you to everyone who has supported me and my family over the years, and thank you to everyone who has challenged me,
making me a better minister, servant and man. I will miss you all very much…May God bless you and may you continue to seek Him in all you do. Remember that
“you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” (1 Peter 2:9) Remember who you are and know that you have a purpose!
In Christ,
Dave Nissen

Coram: ESL Volunteers Needed
We need your help. Become a volunteer working with Spanish speaking families from OLR and St. Matthias. The English as a Second Language Class will be a family friendly adult English class. Parents can bring their kids. There will be an area for school age kids to do homework/play quiet games and a child care area for young children (age 1 through preschool age). No knowledge of Spanish is required to volunteer. Signup via the Signup Genius link below.
Descriptions of the 3 volunteer roles are located in the Signup Genius.
In addition to volunteers, we also need donations. You can donate non-curriculum items (i.e. toys and games for children’s areas) by purchasing them from this Amazon Wishlist link.
Monetary donations will be used for reoccurring curriculum & educational needs (future textbook purchases, paper copies for class work, teaching supplies, etc.). Those donations can be sent to the regional office (dropped off or mailed) and made out to Our Lady of the Rosary with a note or memo line saying Coram English Classes.
