Baptism of the Lord
January 9
Five Ways to Celebrate the Baptism of the Lord!
1. Go to Mass
2. Place a holy water font on the wall next to your front door.
3. Light your baptismal candle during dinner tonight.
4. This begins Christ's public ministry, imitate this by picking a ministry at St. Edward to participate in.
5. Ask the Holy Spirit in prayer to enliven the gifts that you have been given to build up the Kingdom of God on earth.

Evangelization & Catechesis
The Walking with the Saints series aims at helping us remain close to the Lord especially as this walk will lead us into Lent. What better way to spend these two months of Ordinary Time than with the Communion of Saints?

God, thank you for a new year. May everyone in our family be willing to begin anew with a clean slate. We know that you are always ready to forgive us. Help us to be willing to forgive ourselves and to forgive one another.
As we begin a new year, remind us of our truest values and our deepest desires. Help us to live in the goodness that comes from doing what you want us to do. Help us to put aside anxiety about the future and the past, so that we might live in peace with you now, one day at a time.
