The Baptism of the Lord
January 8th & 9th, 2022
This Sunday, we will celebrate the Baptism of the Lord. In honor of this, our parish will provide the parishioners with bottled Holy Water. They will be available in the Narthex after each weekend Mass. Please take only one per family. Thank you!
Lone Rose Sunday
January 8th & 9th, 2022
The Knights of Columbus Council 6065 is having their annual Lone Rose Sunday campaign! The goal is to bring awareness and support in our Pro-Life efforts to our local communities. There are three ways you can help the Knights in their efforts:
1. PRAYERS to end abortion. Pray for our mothers to choose life. You are invited to join others in prayer as well at the annual Roe Memorial Mass.
2. MATERIAL DONATIONS There will be a baby crib set up in the Narthax for Lone Rose Sunday. You can drop off donations such as baby clothes, blankets, diapers, strollers, etc., We will also provide pick up service –

3. FINANCIAL DONATIONS After each Mass on Lone Rose Sunday weekend, the Knights will have donation boxes near the exits. You can make a cash donation or make checks out to Knights of Columbus Council 6065.
Faith & Grief Program at St. Mark

Our Lady of Angels and St. Mark the Evangelist parishes collaborate to offer grief support to our communities. All men and women grieving the death of a loved one are invited to attend our upcoming Faith and Grief gathering on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 from 1:00-2:00 pm. at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church. We will meet in the McGivney Room in the St. Mark Parish Center. We invite you to come and spend time in a supportive environment with others who understand grief and loss. Save the Date: Dedication of the Altar & Church
January 18, 2022
On Tuesday, January 18th, we celebrate the 41st anniversary of the Dedication of the Altar and Church of St. Mark the Evangelist. Dedication is the act of consecrating an altar, church, or chapel for sacred use. In our altar, the relics of the St. Norbert, St. Verecundus and St. Illuminata are sealed. The Catholic Church regards this feast as the highest rank of celebration, a solemnity. In honor of this special day, we will hold a Solemn Vespers Service at 7:00 pm in our sanctuary. So save the date for this grand occasion!
Farewell: Deacon Ed Putonti Retirement

After many years of service, Deacon Ed Putonti will be retiring from his ministry as a deacon here at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church. To celebrate all of the work he has done for us, we would like to invite our parishioners to a reception following the 8:30 am and the 10:30 am Masses on Sunday, January 23rd 2022. Philippians: Life in Christ
Toward the end of his life, under arrest and awaiting trial in Rome, Saint Paul writes a short but powerful letter to the Philippians. The Philippians were not only Paul's sons and daughters in the Faith but also his partners in sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. At the heart of this letter is Paul's eloquent hymn of Christ's total gift of self, the model for Paul's life. With his words and the example of his life, Paul exhorts the Philippians to have the mind of Christ, to live a life worthy of the Gospel, and, by God's grace, to gain Christ.

Este domingo celebraremos el Bautismo del Señor. En honor a esto, nuestra parroquia proporcionará a los feligreses agua bendita embotellada. Estarán disponibles en el Narthex después de cada Misa de fin de semana. Por favor, lleven sólo una por familia. Gracias.
Domingo de la Rosa Solitaria
8 y 9 de enero
El Consejo de Caballeros de Colón 6065 está llevando a cabo su campaña anual del Domingo de la Rosa Solitaria. El objetivo es concienciar y apoyar nuestros esfuerzos Pro-Vida en nuestras comunidades locales. Hay tres maneras de ayudar a los Caballeros en sus esfuerzos:
1. ORACIÓNES para acabar con el aborto. Ore por nuestras madres para que elijan la vida. Se le invita a unirse a otros en la oración también en la Misa anual en memoria de Roe.
2. DONACIONES MATERIALES Habrá una cuna para bebés instalada en el Nártex para el Domingo de la Rosa Solitaria. Usted puede dejar donaciones tales como ropa de bebé, mantas, pañales, carritos, etc., También proporcionaremos servicio de recogida llame a Gerald Enriquez 817-727-5634 para hacer arreglos.
3. DONACIONES FINANCIERAS Puede hacer una donación en efectivo o hacer cheques a nombre de Knights of Columbus Council 6065.
Aniversario de la Dedicacion de Nuestro Altar e Iglesia
18 de enero
El martes 18 de enero celebramos el 41o aniversario de la Dedicación del Altar y la Iglesia de San Marcos Evangelista. La dedicación es el acto de consagrar un altar, una iglesia o una capilla para uso sagrado. En nuestro altar están selladas las reliquias de San Norberto, San Verecundus y Santa Iluminata. La Iglesia Católica considera esta fiesta como el más alto rango de celebración, una solemnidad. En honor a este día especial, celebraremos un servicio de vísperas solemnes a las 7:00 pm en nuestro santuario. Así que reserve la fecha para esta gran ocasión.
