Happy New Year! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and that you were able to relax a little bit over the holidays. We're back with our regular meetings starting this Sunday! Below, you can see our schedule for the whole month.
This Sunday // The Ten Commandments
We'll explore the next story on our journey through Salvation History: when the Israelites were given the Ten Commandments. We'll find that these commandments were given as guidelines to help God's people live full lives in peace, harmony, and joy.
January 16 // MLK Day Event
On Sunday, January 16, we'll meet at our regular YM time to honor Martin Luther King, Jr. by talking about his famous dream, the importance of loving all people at all times, and what we can do to deescalate hate. We'll end the night with a service project. More details to come next week!
January 23 // Judges and Kings
This meeting will focus on the judges and kings that ruled Israel. We'll specifically explore the life of King David and the psalms that he wrote.
January 30 // The Exile
At this meeting, we'll explore when the kingdom of Israel was divided into two as well as the Israelites' exile in Babylon. This story finishes up our exploration of the Old Testament and sets us up for the BIG REVEAL!
