Because January 1st (The Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God) falls on a Monday, it is NOT a Holy Day of Obligation. St. Mark’s will celebrate one mass on New Year's Day at 9:00am.
A reminder that our office is closed this week and that we do not celebrate the student 7:00pm Mass during Winter Break. The 7:00pm Mass resumes next Sunday, January 7th.
Come join us Tuesday, January 9th at 7:00pm as we welcome the Overtones, The men's Glee Club of the University of Notre Dame. Event is free for all. See attached flyer.
2018 parish giving envelope boxes are being distributed throughout the month of January. This year, our envelopes include an on-line "check box" giving option. So, after you set up a regular on-line giving account, you can now also drop an envelope in the collection plate (without anything in it) simply by checking the on-line giving option. Why do this? Some hesitate to give on-line for the simple reason that they don’t want to come to church empty-handed. We will still be able to track your giving as we have in the past simply by matching your on-line giving with your parish envelope number. We hope this will encourage parishioners and students to set up new weekly or monthly on-line giving accounts. For more information, please go to our website at www.saint-marks.net and click on “on-line giving” at the top banner. Please see attached memo for bi-lingual instructions. By the way, this evening is the last day to make an on-line end of the year gift to our parish and gain tax benefits from the gift.
Blessings of Health and Happiness in the New Year!
Fr. John W. Love, V.F.
