Hello Everyone…
Today we celebrate the Baptism of the Lord and the official end of the Christmas Season. Tomorrow we begin Ordinary Time.
“John answered them all, ‘I baptize you with water, but he who is mightier than I is coming ... he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit ...” ~Luke 3:16
The Catholic Catechism states that “Jesus’ immersion in the water is a sign for all human beings of the need to die to themselves to do God’s will.” In other words, as baptized Catholics there is only one gift that we need to give to Jesus —the gift of ourselves. Surrender yourself to God, place your trust in Him, and allow the Holy Spirit to work through you for the greater glory of God
We will be un-decorating the church after the 9am Mass. We are looking for volunteers to help out. The more people that help…the quicker it will go. A big thank you to all who helped decorate the church and for all who helped make our Christmas season beautiful.
We not have Mass this week on Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning. That also means we will not have confessions on Tuesday or Wednesday either. Father Maria will be out of town on those two days. We will be praying the Divine Mercy Chaplet at 9am in the church with the school kids on Wednesday. If you haven't seen the school kids sing the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, it is truly beautiful. All are invited to join us.
Please keep in your prayers Adam Smith, Sarah Kastener-Warren, and John Brieden and their families. We celebrated their funerals Friday and Saturday. May God give their family and friends comfort and consolation.
We welcome Finley Mendoza to the family of God. Finley was baptized into Christ on Saturday. Finley is the daughter of Maria and Luis Mendoza.

St. Francis Xavier School will be joining the entire Diocese to celebrate Catholic School’s Week January 29- February 4. We would like to thank everyone who supports our school through various fundraisers, collections, and the SCRIP program throughout the year. Thank you!
Catholic School’s week will also kick-off our School’s Annual Fund Program. You should receive in the mail this week a copy of the State of the School Report. Please take some time to look over this report. If you have any questions, please contact Dcn Jim or our Co-Principals, Stephanie VanStrydonk or Kate Shimel. An electronic copy of this report will be emailed out on Tuesday. If you do not receive a copy of the report in the mail, please contact Cindy Gennrich in the School office or Kris Leggett in the Parish office as that probably means we don’t have your correct address.
Please pray for Ron Crass. Ron is suffering from some medical issues that may be associated with a stroke that he had and has been in the hospital in Marshfield for the past couple of days. Ron is the father of Kris Leggett, our Parish Secretary, and Kay Berg, our Director of Faith Formation. Please keep Ron, Kris, Kay and the family in your prayers.
Please see the bulletin for further announcements. Blessings on your week.
