This week...
We have continued to see an increase of COVID cases throughout our parish family community. Although it seems that this strain is not so dangerous for many, it is still causing health issues for many of our members. I would like to thank you all for cooperating with the temporary mask requirement. I hope and pray that we can soon go back to optional wearing.
PARISH OFFICE:
Because of COVID affecting our community and some of the staff of our parish, we will be closing the parish office this week. All appointments that are scheduled in person will be moved to virtual or over the phone, with the exception of house blessings or anointing of the sick.
MASS AND CONFESSIONS:
The schedule remains as usual for daily and weekend masses and confession times. The only difference is that we continue to ask for everyone to wear a facemask. I also remind everyone that if you are feeling ill (cough, runny nose, body aches and/or fever) to please stay home. Missing mass due to illness is not consider a sin.
MARCH FOR LIFE PLENARY INDULGENCE:
Once again, due to the pandemic, there is a plenary indulgence accompanying this year’s March for Life events in Washington DC.
Those who join in-person as well as those who are unable to join in-person for sincere and grave reasons due to the pandemic, may gain the indulgence by participating through social media in the National Prayer Vigil for Life at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception on Thursday January 20, 2022. The plenary indulgence is also available to those who attend, in person or virtually, the Mass for Life, celebrated on Friday January 21, 2022 at St. Matthew Cathedral in Washington DC. Both events will be available on social media, television and radio.
10TH ANNUAL MEN'S CONFERENCE:
Saturday February 19, 2022 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM at San Jose Catholic Church in South Austin.
