Even though the Christmas trees are gone...
...some of the Christmas songs still ring in my head. Maybe some of you have the same experience.
One of those songs, so appropriate to our parish, is Come Let Us Adore Him. Here at St. Mary's, Foxboro, we have a number of opportunities to spend time with Our Lord in Eucharistic Adoration, when we adore the Savior of the world hidden in the Eucharist.
Some of you may have heard of Eucharistic Adoration before and wondered what it is or what you're supposed to do when you're there. Others may have never heard about it and are now wondering.
Well - Wonder no more! Below you'll find a short video by Fr. Josh Johnson that explains a little about Eucharistic Adoration and what we do while we're there. Once you've watched the video, don't forget to take the opportunity to spend some time with Our Lord at our parish - and when you pray, don't forget to pray for your priests!

9 Days for Life Novena — Jan 19 - Jan 27
A novena for the protection of human life. Each day’s intention is accompanied by a short reflection and suggested actions to help build a culture of life. The Foxboro Knights of Columbus is urging everyone to participate in the 9 Days for Life Campaign sponsored by the USCCB.

Eucharistic Adoration — Wed, Jan 19 @ 9:30AM - 7:00PM
We invite you to join the Catholic Daughters this month in Eucharistic Adoration for as little or as long as your schedule allows. Adoration will begin immediately following the 9:00am Mass, and continue until 7:00pm.
Jesus called his beloved to sit with him in Gethsemane, saying "Stay here and keep watch with me". (Matthew 26:38) In the same way, we ask for volunteers to commit an hour to sitting vigil with our Lord. If possible, please register for an hour (or more) below. We ask for at least two volunteers each hour, to ensure that our Lord is never alone. If you're unable to commit to an hour, don't let that keep you away. The church will be open and Our Lord will be there, come on in and spend any amount of time you like. The King will not fail to shower down His graces upon you when you do!

Eucharistic Miracles—Sat, Jan 29 @ 9:30AM - 6PM | Sun, Jan 30 @ 10AM - 1PM
Vatican International Exhibit of Eucharistic Miracles: With an extensive assortment of photographs and historical descriptions, the exhibition presents some of the principal Eucharistic Miracles that took place throughout the ages in various countries of the world and which have been recognized by the Church. By means of 159 panels, one can "virtually visit" the places where the miracles took place.
Word on Fire Study: The Mass — Tuesdays, Feb 22 - Mar 29, @ 10AM - 12PM
Join us for a new 6-session video Bible Study called Word on Fire: The Mass. Walk through the Liturgy of the Mass with Bishop Robert Barron and you'll be transformed by his insights on this most privileged and intimate encounter with our Lord Jesus Christ this side of heaven. The Mass will help you understand how to fully, consciously, and actively participate in the source and summit of the Christian life.
Study runs February 22 to March 29, Tuesdays, 10 am - 12 noon (Please contact us if you are interested in starting an evening or weekend bible study group) in the Murphy Room. There is a $10 fee for the workbook.

Prayer Partners for Confirmation
Our confirmation classes are off to a great start, with approximately 70 students attending the first class. If you would like to support one, or more, of our confirmation candidates, please consider becoming a Prayer Partner. Volunteers are asked to pray for a student from now until Confirmation on May 22 and write a note of support/encouragement as the day draws near. If you are interested in becoming a Prayer Partner, please email Julie Foley at jfoley@stmarysfoxboro.org. You may request a student you know, or one will be assigned to you. As always, your prayers are greatly appreciated and mean a lot to our ninth grade students.
Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults

Synod on Synodality
Over the next several years, the Church around the world will be participating in a process called the Synod on Synodality. The Holy Father will be meeting with bishops from across the globe in 2023 to discuss ways of improving the process by which the Church on all levels is open to hearing the voices of people from all walks of life. The process begins in Boston now, asking that as many people as possible to take a simple survey (click here).
