Have you ever sat and watched a baby try to roll over for the first time? I'm sure you have and you have witnessed their struggle and impatience. Patience is something we all struggle with. It is a gift from God that we must pray for. I honestly think we get more patient as we get older and experience more life lessons. But it is something that we have to be constantly aware of and remind ourselves of. Be patient when waiting for the light to change, be patient when we are in a long line at the store, be patient when our internet is not as fast as we want it to be!
This week, you will hear the story of St. Monica and St. Augustine. St. Monica is a great model in patience and perseverance for all of us. Pray for her intercession for your children and for yourselves. This week during class, you will get to practice patience and perseverance with your children as they play the carnival games!
There are several YouTube videos available that you can use as resources for other ideas on teaching children patience. And just like St. Monica did---PRAY!
